Recognitions
The mission of the West Technical Education Center states that it is committed to providing rigorous and relevant career and technical education in a dynamic learning environment that results in each student reaching his or her highest potential.
In keeping with its mission, West Tech has earned three significant recognitions:
- Accreditation of its Home Health Aide and Phlebotomy programs by the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
- Inclusion in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Training Provider Registry for Entry-Level Drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles.
- Certification as a Third Party Administrator (TPA) for commercial driver’s license skills examinations, by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
West Tech is one of only two public adult training centers accredited by the COE, and the only public TPA in Palm Beach County.
